Janno
den Engelsman
Janno den Engelsman, born in 1972 in Bergen op Zoom, Netherlands, is city
carillonneur of Zierikzee, Bergen op Zoom and Middelburg. He studied organ, harpsichord and
church music at the Utrecht Conservatorium and in 2006 was
awarded the Sakko Cultuurprijs
voor Kunsten en
Letteren. In
2007 he received his carillon diploma from the Dutch Carillon School in
Amersfoort. He also took carillon lessons at the University College
Roosevelt in Middelburg. He served as a member of the board of
directors of the Dutch Carillon Guild from 2009 to 2013.
He teaches carillon at the Cultural Centre of Bergen op Zoom
and gives concerts in Europe and the USA.
