Tiffany Ng

Tiffany Ng, born in 1982 in San Francisco, California/USA, is Assistant Professor of Carillon and University Carillonnuer at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, a faculty member of the North American Carillon School and a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Campanology. She studied piano at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (Diploma in 2001), music and English at Yale University (B.A. in 2005), organ and literature at the Eastman School of Music (M.A. in 2008) and musicology at the University of California at Berkeley (M.A. in 2010, Ph.D. in 2015 ). She is a carillonneur member of the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America, received her carillon diploma with great distinction from the carillon school in Mechlin, Belgium in 2005, and attended master classes in carillon performance at Yale University, USA, in Mechlin, Belgium, Amersfoort and Middelburg, the Netherlands, and in Douai, France. She was awarded grants by the University of California at Berkeley and the Belgian American Educational Foundation and received the Yale University Mifflin Preis in 2005. Ng specializes in commissioning and performing new works for carillon and for carillon and elcetronics and plays regular concerts in North America, Europe and Asia.
