Margaret
Pan, born in 1979 in Princeton, New Jersey, is a
freelance carillonneur based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.
She began studying carillon in 2007 at Princeton University,
passed the carillonneur's exam of the Guild of Carillonneurs
in North America in 2008, graduated from the Jef Denyn Royal
Carillon School in Mechelen,
Belgium in 2012, and was a fellow at Bok Tower
Gardens in Lake Wales, Florida in 2015. In 2017 Pan
won first prize at international
competition in Springfield, Illinois and in 2019 was
the third laureate at the Queen Fabiola competition in
Mechelen, Belgium. She plays regular recitals on the carillons
of Saint Stephen's Episcopal Church in Cohasset and the town
hall of Norwood, Massachusetts and has given concerts in
Belgium, the Netherlands and throughout North America,
including at major festivals and congresses of the GCNA and
the World Carillon Federation. She has served on the exam
committee of the GCNA for 10 years, first as juror and
currently as co-chair.
